Politician
Nicole Parra
Part(y)
of the Same Old Problem

Nicole Parra:
Party to a Debt Collections
Judgement

Politician Nicole Parra wants to be elected to the State Senate where she would oversee the state budget and state spending. But Nicole Parra managed her own money so badly that she was sued repeatedly for not paying her bills, which totaled thousands of dollars in debts. (1)

A court ultimately authorized the Kern County Sheriff’s Department to enforce a judgement against Nicole Parra and she was finally required to pay her bills. (2)

Nicole Parra:
Used thousands in Campaign Funds to Party

Nicole Parra used her campaign funds as a personal slush fund, paying for trips to lavish destinations that included fancy meals and expensive wine. (3)

During her last year in office, Nicole Parra largely emptied $150,000 in her
campaign fund, including spending to travel to Maui, Las Vegas, Chicago, Newport Beach and New Orleans. (4) Her expenses included a $1,300 party at Ceja Vineyards where she picked up the tab for four other lawmakers, including a limo service so, “no one would have to drive drunk.”(5&6)

Parra spent over $5,000 for a party at Sacramento’s Cabana Lounge for her supporters and nearly $2,000 for a “thank you” dinner for 14 guests. (7)

Jamie Court of Consumer Watchdog said, “I think this shows that all too often, candidates think of their campaign committees as slush funds.” (8)

Nicole Parra:
Which Political Party
Does She Really Belong To?

Today, Nicole Parra says she is a Democrat. But Parra has changed her party designation and used her political relationships for her own personal gain.

Nicole Parra endorsed Republican candidates running against Governor Jerry Brown and U.S Senator Barbara Boxer. (9) She even endorsed a Republican to take her seat when she left the State Assembly. (10)

Nicole Parra was paid by Republican candidates to help them in their campaigns. (11) Parra left the Democratic party altogether for almost a decade. (12) That’s why Democratic party leaders oppose her.
